RAMQUIP · GALVANIZED HANDLING SYSTEMS
Start with a working alley. Add a funnel, tub, lead-up pen, and sorting pens to build a handling setup that fits your space and the way you manage your flock.
Plan Your Setup Explore Panels and Gates
RamQuip’s galvanized panels and gates can be combined in different layouts. Choose a basic alley for everyday handling, or add the components you need to gather animals, guide them into the alley, and separate them into pens. The examples below show how a setup can grow step by step.
CONFIGURATION 01
A straightforward starting point: a 16-foot alley with a rolling stop gate at the front and a guillotine gate at the rear.

CONFIGURATION 03
Connect an 8-foot tub and sweep gate to the funnel and alley. The curved gathering area provides a defined space from which to guide sheep and goats toward the alley.

CONFIGURATION 04
Bring animals into the tub from an 8-foot-wide, 16-foot-long lead-up pen. A two-way sort gate at the front adds the option to separate animals as they leave the working alley.

CONFIGURATION 05
Add two sorting pens at the front of the deluxe layout to receive animals from the two-way sort gate. This example also shows extra 8-foot aluminum GoFlock panels for additional penning.

The optional solid alley panel with a fold-down upper section provides easier access to the sheep’s head and makes it easier to reach over the side of the working alley. These photos show the fold-down panel on the handler’s side of the alley, with the regular solid alley panel on the opposite side.
Place a guillotine gate at the rear of the alley to control entry into the working area. The gate lifts vertically, with the rope extending to the operating position.

Use a two-way sort gate and rail panels to arrange receiving pens around the end of your alley. The right layout depends on your available space, entry points, and the groups you need to keep separate.
